A new component of the Melbourne Cycling Festival is a Twilight Criterium on Friday 16 October. The Twilight Criterium will introduce cyclists and spectators to a new and exciting form of cycling along Boathouse Drive and around the rowing sheds. The race will consist of 2 categories: Elite Mens, Elite Womens. The elite mens category will race for 60 min + 3 laps. The elite womens will race for 45 min + 3 laps. Each category will have a maximum of 80 participants. The ring of the bell will see riders excel! They will show their ability to ride under race conditions in a large group, ability to turn corners sharply at high speeds and have superior fitness to attack and accelerate from the peloton.
Taking part in the Melbourne Cycling Festival it's a great way to contribute to the well-being of the environment and also have lots of fun!
